People Power for Florida to Host 5th Annual Fall Campus Voter Registration “Dorm Storms” with Coalition Partners
FLORIDA – As students return to campus for the Fall semester, People Power for Florida (PPFF) will host their annual voter registration “Dorm Storms” at colleges and universities across the state during move-in, helping students prepare to participate in the democratic process and vote this November.
For many students, moving into a residence hall marks a new chapter, but it also creates an important opportunity to ensure their voter registration information is accurate. Since its founding by State Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani in 2021, PPFF has worked to bring civic engagement directly to students by meeting them where they are and making the voter registration process simple, accessible, and convenient.
“This is one of our favorite and most fun traditions,” added Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani. “We can’t wait to welcome students back to their campuses, and to get them to become more civically engaged!”
Through this annual initiative, PPFF and its coalition partners will welcome students during move-in week, provide voter registration assistance, answer questions about voting in Florida, and encourage students to become active participants in their communities ahead of the critical 2026 midterm elections.
This year, PPFF will partner with five fellow youth-led organizations to expand outreach efforts and strengthen its commitment to empowering the next generation of voters in Florida.
