People Power for Florida to Host Campus Voter Registration “Dorm Storms” with Coalition Partners
FLORIDA –During the week of June 20–28, People Power for Florida (PPFF) will host voter registration "Dorm Storms" at college campuses across the state, welcoming students moving in for the Summer B semester and helping them prepare to participate in the democratic process.
Each year, thousands of students move into campus housing but do not update their voter registration address or register to vote altogether. Founded by State Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani in 2021, People Power for Florida is committed to meeting students where they are by providing direct support and resources to help them register to vote and update their voter information using their new campus address ahead of the critical 2026 midterm elections.
This annual initiative reflects PPFF's ongoing mission to increase civic engagement among young people and ensure that students have the tools they need to make their voices heard. This year, PPFF will partner with five other youth-led organizations to expand outreach efforts and connect with even more students across Florida.
